Studded Christian Louboutin Pumps

Aren't these pumps totally you? Which one will you add to your million dollar shoe collection?? :) The only pair I can picture myself wearing are the nude, studded, peep toe, slingback pumps on the bottom left corner.  Otherwise, they are all just definitely unique and worth looking at!

The Infamous Christian Louboutin

Is the CARGO style back In?

You know the style I'm talking about. Baggy pants, shorts, or capris with large pockets attached to each leg. I have never been a huge fan of this look but it seems that they may be coming back in. I was told to start buying used cargo pants that were made within the past year for Plato's Closet merchandise. [I was horrified...] But as it turns out, there are actually some of these trending in fashionable retail shops. The new definition has changed from baggy to skinny pants with large double pockets.

Here is a pair from Forever 21.

A tight, fitted pair from Nordstrom

A pair by Neiman Marcus

A pair by Ralph Lauren

A pair by Marc Jacobs

And another pair by Joie Beverly

Do you think this trend will catch eyes, or simply fall behind like so many do? I don't mind the cargo style if the pants are skinny. But Loose & Baggy Cargo= Hiking Fashion Magazine. Not so much for the glamorous runway spotlight.

Great Deals for the Financially Challenged [as long as the fortunate keep spending]

At work yesterday, I had a lady bring in a Coach purse that she wanted to sell [to Plato's Closet]. I told her up front that she probably wouldn't get as much money as she deserved due to the high original price of the designer purse. At Plato's, it's difficult to get your money's worth when selling luxury/designer/high priced items because we just aren't able to price them that high. She said she didn't mind because she buys three or four brand new ones every year. She said she has over twenty of them lying around at home. In my head I'm thinking, "Wow, where do you work? I want that much money to blow!" I was shocked because we could only price the purse at about $40.00, which means we gave her $16.00 for her basically brand new Coach purse with the certificate of authenticity.

Her purse looked similar to this one, but it was from a different season/collection. To get an idea of what a Coach purse goes for, this one is priced at $238.00.

The moral of this story is to go thrift shopping because you never know when you'll run into designer items. People that are used to buying such expensive clothing/accessories sometimes do not care to donate or sell them to a local thrift store for cheap. If I were her, I would have definitely tried selling my Coach purse online but then again, I'm poor...

If You Won the Lottery Would You Buy Designer Clothes?

I just bought an instant pick power ball lottery ticket today... I buy these in order to start up long, fascinating "What if" conversations with my fiancé. We talk about how we'd pay off all our family's (and our) debt... How we would want to invest the money and possibly start up a cool business... Where we would live and travel to... And basically all of the cool things we'd want to buy. My fiancé posed this question and I didn't really know the answer to it.

"If you won the lottery would you buy designer clothes?"

At first, I immediately said "No, probably not". But I'm not sure how realistic that answer is. I think I would like to go down the road to the mall and go on a shopping spree. I rarely buy new clothing from the mall so I would be excited to afford clothes there first. I really want to buy the fashionable clothing from Forever 21, Love Culture, Victoria's Secret, Charlotte Russe, etc. My fiancé seems to think I would start buying dresses that cost $1000+ but I can't imagine it. However it is really hard to wrap my mind around such large amounts of money. The jackpot for the lottery ticket I purchased is set at $144 million. I can't even wrap my mind around $1 million, let alone $144 million...! It's insane.

Let's take a look at some dresses. Personally, I think the cheaper ones are just as flattering as the expensive ones. I would probably buy a few really expensive articles of clothing, but I can't see my whole wardrobe costing a few hundred thousand dollars... that is ridiculous... I would rather explore new places and travel around the world with this money.

Carry Your Beach Gear in Style

It would be nice to have some sort of beach bag to carry your towels, sunscreen, mini radio, lunch, and drinks in. I don't think you want to be the one squeezing all your gear into a small Walmart bag. There's just some kind of general aversion attached to that image...
